We cannot stress enough that this paint is LIMITLESS! Really!!
We have been using it almost every day for months now and we have yet to do the same thing twice! Even in teaching classes we still do different color and wax combo's in every class!
The best thing to do to get your confidence up in trying a new color combo, waxing or distressing is to practice on some scrap wood. I've been using leftover raw tongue and groove bead board that I rescued from the dumpster when they did my screen in porch ceiling this past summer. I also had tons of MDF leftover from another practice. I quickly discovered that MDF is a great to practice on and even the more complicated techniques look equally as grand on MDF as they do on delicate antiques.
So find some scraps and start playing around with some paint!
Ditto everything you just said!!!

I must not put the first layer on thick enough because the few times I've sanded - I get the wood showing through and not the above.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the pink/white used before.
OK - what colors?
