One of the biggest reasons I love using Chalk Paint™is because I can accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. It is the perfect paint for the people like me who need to see the stunning results with minimal work.
"Minimal work people" tend to be "minimal clean up people" as well...right?
We are not people who like to take the time to hammer nail holes in the rims for the paint to drain back into the can.
We are not people who like to clean off the lids so that paint does not build up around the rim.
We are the people that will buy these lids {above} with hopes that we will have clean, non crusty, easy to use and pour paint cans.

I am the person who won't clean the plastic lid off either. I'm the person who will let the plastic lid crust up and I won't screw on right either. I also dislike these lids b/c the opening is very small for my brush.

When you are lazy with your lids expect this at some point in your life!!
So I'm wondering if there is anyone out who keeps their lids all neat and pretty????
Oh my gosh! On carpet even. When someone spills or wastes alcohol, we call that alcohol abuse.
ReplyDeleteIs it proper to say the same in regards to chalk paint? ;)
I haven't done this yet. I will say, I do like that CeCe's can's are plastic. I still gunk them up but they don't rust.
Oh I groaned when I saw this! Not only is it spilled paint on carpet, but it's Annie Sloan spilled paint on carpet! Messy and expensive. Horrible combination!!
ReplyDeleteI'm horribly lazy too. I have no solutions since I find that if I use the plastic screw on lids, I can't ever get them open again cuz the paint (that I didn't clean off of course) stuck to everything! So no, I'm sure there's someone who keeps their lids clean and pretty, but it's certainly NOT me. :)

ReplyDeleteBad practice, because it contaminates the can of paint with whatever is on the brush. Pour the paint into something - I use a snap-top plastic freezer container - and work from it. You can even store the left-over paint in it.
If you use screw-on lids, wipe the threads, inside and out, with a bit of WD-40 on a bit of paper towel before you use them.
LOL! You and I are kindred spirits!
ReplyDeleteI am also sooooo cracking up at Anonymous' comment above. That person really didn't understand ANYTHING about this post!!! Hahahahaha!!!!!
